CENTRO MALLQUI ILO
Several archaeological salvage projects have been developed at Centro Mallqui in Ilo since 1993. Resulting from these efforts, a conservation center for the collection recovered in the area was built, and a large collection of artifacts has been assembled. We also collaborate with the Chiribaya Museum in the Municipality of El Algarrobal in Ilo.
The research center is located in the Ilo Valley, 11 km from the port city of Ilo. It has storage facilities specially designed for the management of archaeological remains that require specific conditions in temperature and relative humidity to be maintained.
